Terms of Service

1. The service

Maestarr consists of two parts: software (the Maestarr agent, which you download and run on your own hardware) and an optional cloud service at maestarr.com (account, license management, multi-server dashboard, and email alerts, available with a Pro subscription). The agent works without the cloud service; these terms cover both. By creating an account or running the software, you agree to these terms.

2. Your hardware, your responsibility

The agent runs entirely on your hardware and configures third-party software (such as Sonarr, Radarr, Prowlarr, download clients, and media servers) at your direction. Maestarr configures software and does not provide, index, or host any content. It ships with no content sources, performs no searches for content, and downloads nothing on its own.

You are solely responsible for what you download and store with the software Maestarr configures, for the accounts you connect (Usenet providers, indexers, VPNs), and for complying with the laws that apply to you, including copyright law. You agree not to use Maestarr to infringe the rights of others.

3. Accounts

Sign-in to maestarr.com uses a magic link emailed to you, so the security of your email account controls access to your Maestarr account. You are responsible for keeping your license key reasonably private; we may revoke keys that are shared publicly or abused.

4. Pro subscription and billing

Pro costs $6 per month or $60 per year, billed through Stripe, and renews automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the dashboard via the Stripe customer portal (Manage subscription); cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep Pro features until then. Prices may change with at least 30 days notice; changes apply from your next renewal. Applicable taxes are calculated and added at checkout.

5. Refunds

Your first Pro purchase (monthly or yearly) comes with a 14-day, no-questions-asked refund: email support@maestarr.com within 14 days of the charge. Renewals and subsequent purchases are refundable at our discretion; reach out and we will be reasonable.

6. Affiliate disclosure

Some links to third-party services (such as Usenet providers and VPNs) are affiliate links: if you sign up through them, Maestarr earns a commission at no extra cost to you. Recommendations are based on what works well with the stack; prices are identical with or without the affiliate link.

7. Open source and third-party software

The agent's source code is available under its published license, which governs your rights in the code itself. The third-party applications the agent deploys are separate projects under their own licenses and terms, and we are not responsible for them.

8. No warranty

The software and the cloud service are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The agent manages containers on your machine with broad privileges; we do not warrant that it will be error-free, and you should keep backups of data you care about.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Maestarr will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or service interruption. Our total liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (which is zero if you only used the free tier).

10. Termination

You can stop using the software and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service; if we terminate a paid account without cause, we will refund the unused portion of the current period.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in [STATE].

12. Changes and contact
